Dear LFNV2008 participants, The 13th International Conference on Low Frequency Noise and Vibration and its Control, which has been held at Shiba Park Hotel in Tokyo, Japan, has been successfully finished on 23 October 2008. First of all, the Japan Executive Team would like to sincerely appreciate to all the participants and the accompanying persons for their cooperation to the conference. We have got 64 conference participants and 6 accompanying persons from all over the world, and 36 interesting and informative research papers on low frequency noise and vibration and its control have been presented to the conference. These are great number of the papers, and we would also like to thank all the presenters for their contributions. We convince that this great success will continue to next conference, which will be held in Aalborg, Denmark, on 2010. See you in the next conference and thank you again for all. Instructions for presentation
A personal computer (PC) and a liquid crystal display (LCD) projector, as well as a laser pointer will be provided in the conference room, "Botan".
The PC is operated by Windows XP home edition in Japanese, and the software for presentation is Microsoft PowerPoint 2007 and Adobe Acrobat Reader. Note that any Macintosh computer will not be provided.
For preview of your presentation, a PC with the same specification will be provided at a room "RAN". The Executive Team strongly recommends checking your presentation beforehand, in order to avoid troubles in your presentation. The preview room will be open from Monday evening of 20th to 23rd October.
A CD-ROM or USB drive can be used to load files into the provided PC. If needed, the author can also connect your own laptop to the LCD projector.
Requests for special equipments must be noticed to the conference organizer before the conference. The Executive Team recommends using e-mail to

Each paper has 20 minutes for presentation. It includes oral presentation, discussion and changeover to the next author. For example, 15 minutes for the oral presentation, 3 minutes for the questions or discussions and 2 minutes for changeover to the next author may be ideal.
If authors can send the files for your presentations to the organizer before the conference by E-mail, the Executive Team checks it and puts it into the provided PC for presentation. The Web site https://www.lowfrequency2008.org/form/submission.html is convenient to send the files to the organizer. At that time, please fill the fields marked with asterisk (*), and then upload your presentation files. Note that sizes of the files should be less than 20MB due to the network capacity. If your files are more than 20MB, please contact us individually by

Conference registration:
The delegate fee for the conference is ¥ 80,000(JPY) for a delegate and ¥ 20,000(JPY) for an accompanying person.

The registration fee includes welcome buffet on the Monday evening (20th October) before the conference, delegate lunch and coffee/tea breaks on the conference days, Conference Proceedings, social visits and conference dinner.
